So last night something completely awesome happened, I was awarded the “Special recognition award” in the Male Champion of Change category at the Source2Create<\/a> Australian Women in Security Awards.
My acceptance speech was very short as I was so humbled and honoured to be awarded such an amazing award among so many amazing women who were being celebrated during the event. I would have loved to of been at the event in Sydney as originally planned but it wasn’t meant to be, so I celebrated virtually from QLD with you all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you Sharmane Tan<\/a> for grabbing these pictures for me, very appreciated. Congrats to Simon Carabetta<\/a> who took out the top honours in the category, very well deserved indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To all of the amazing nominees, finalists and winners of all of the categories you are amazing people, keep doing what you are doing and just be you. Congratulations to you all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bek Cheb<\/a>, it was amazing to have my award announced by you virtually from our lovely QLD. I couldn’t think of a better person to announce my special recognition. What a night, well don’t\u00a0Abigail Swabey<\/a>,\u00a0Charlie-Mae Baker<\/a>\u00a0and all of the\u00a0Source2Create<\/a>\u00a0team who put this event and awards together.
